Sam Hornish Jr. is the IndyCar Series' only three-time champion.

As have many of the top open-wheel drivers in the world in the past decade, Hornish made the jump to stock-car racing in 2008 with Penske. He nearly won the 2008 Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year Award, and had the best race finish of any rookie, a 13th at Lowe's Motor Speedway in May. Hornish will return to that series in 2009 with sponsorship from Mobil 1, AAA, and Penske Truck Rental.
