Team Penske is one of the oldest and most competitive teams in the IndyCar Series. Founded as an open-wheel operation in 1968 for legendary driver Mark Donohue, owner Roger Penske has also entered cars in NASCAR, CART, Can-Am, Trans-Am, the American Le Mans Series, and Formula 1. The team joined the IRL in 2001 with drivers Hélio Castroneves and Gil de Ferran and won its first three Indianapolis 500s after returning to the Speedway.

Car #3/#68 HistoryEdit

Castroneves has been the only driver for this team since it entered the IndyCar Series. Prior to his hiring by Penske in 2000, when the team still ran in CART, it featured drivers Alex Barron, Andre Ribeiro, and Paul Tracy, among others.
